How to Check Property Zoning in BC

Zoning is municipal. The fastest method is: locate the address → open the municipality’s zoning map → confirm the zone and overlays → read the bylaw sections for use and density.
  1. Find the municipality (city) for the property
  2. Open the official zoning map / GIS viewer
  3. Confirm the base zone and overlays
  4. Open the zoning bylaw and check permitted use
  5. Check FSR, height, setbacks, parking, and special requirements
